The student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) at the University of Kentucky offers students an excellent opportunity to learn more about the civil engineering profession, gain valuable contacts with engineering employers, and get to know other students in the department.
Our weekly meetings feature speakers from a variety of civil engineering fields such as transportation, structures, water resources, environmental, and construction.
The UK ASCE student chapter organizes many activities throughout the year such as community service events, socials, and field trips. The chapter also participates in various competitions at the annual regional symposium. Attend our next weekly meeting to learn what civil engineering is really all about!

The FE prep videos help prepare for the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (an important exam) that engineers should take their last semester or after graduating. The FE prep videos were created by the UK American Society of Civil Engineers students and faculty a few years ago to help seniors prepare. These videos are important as many of the civil professors made them to cover specific topics in their area of expertise.
